This Thursday marks the 1 year anniversary of the devastating wildfires that destroyed most of the historic Lahaina town on the west side of Maui on August 8th, 2023.
A series of events commemorating one year after the Aug. 8, 2023, wildfires will honor the 102 victims and the two who remain missing. The events acknowledge the community's strength in enduring hardship and sorrow, offering residents opportunities to unite in recovery and mutual support. The 4-day event known as Kuhinia Maui, will take place August 8 - 11, 2024.
